AL4 Vehicle Speed Sensor

Since someone asked about the location of the vehicle speed sensor, it is part of the AL4 transmission and located near the drive shaft. I don't have pictures of my own, so here's some from the internet.

The easiest way to gain access to it is from under the car. Removal is easy, just remove the bolt and slowly pull the sensor out.

  3. Engine speed sensor measures the engine speed and is displayed on the dashboard RPM gage. The sensor is on the engine.

Vehicle speed sensor measures how fast the car is going and is displayed on the dashboard as mp/h and/or km/h. The sensor is near the driveshaft.

  5. hi Mr Talenta,
I have a peugeot307 , 2002 model automatic, my problem is its getting an automatic gear fault , then the gears will stay on 2nd gear and to get rid of it is to turn off the engine then start again. I have it brought to the dealer where I bought the car, then it will get fixed for a few months then back to the old problem again. I know you have 206 model, but will the fix you have in your site applicable to my model which is 307? I would appreciate it very much if you can reply to me on my email emfrncs@gmail.com. thank you.
